Exhaust Systems

When the time comes to replace the standard pipes, there's no shortage of choices for replacement. Many of the aftermarket systems are works of art, in polished aluminium, stainless steel, ceramic, chromed steel or carbon fibre.

There are a number of ways to go, not all leading to the same destination. For example replacing the OEM system with, say one of the Motad Neta systems, will result in a bike with roughly similar performance as before, comparable looks and similar noise levels.

However, install say a 4 into 1 Remus system, with carbon race can and you're in a whole different ball game.

When my system expired I chose a Renegade stainless steel 4 into 1, with race can. I think more than any other item, it changed the characteristics of my FJ. It leaves a void on the left hand side, which takes some getting used to. This said I'd never go back to a standard type system and the noise, well it's music as far as I'm concerned but the neighbours and the plod (police) may have another opinion.
